Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. Her childhood was spent listening to traditional, old boleros as well as the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana loves tangos, operas and other theatrical performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous singing lessons at the age of 16 under the tutelage of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was part of a variety of opera choruses and chamber ensembles. When she moved in the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current place in southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. The love she has for singing, music and the arts keeps her engaged in local projects in both her capacity as an artist and teacher. Ana has also been an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as and members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana thank the Inland Master Chorale for their permission to play classic Latin American song.
