Rosalia
Rosalia Vila is a Spanish flamenco singer and pop artist. When she was a teenager she sang with traditional as well as popular music. Her singing interests have broadened to include hip-hop and soul. Pepe Haichuela, flamenco guitarist and renowned musician has described the sound of the new artist as sassy and sweet but with bite. El Mal Querer is her 2nd album, which was made available in 2018, which was commercially and critically acclaimed. Following Los Angeles, her debut album from 2017, she received an award from the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist and earned the Latin Grammy nod. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Motomami is her third album was a collaboration with songwriting partners Cory Henry and James Blake. The album was released in the month of March 2022, following an Saturday Night Live performance featuring the song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish soloist to appear on Saturday Night Live. Motomami the album by Rosalia that won three Latin Grammy Awards also made Rosalia the first female artist to have the Latin Album of the Year award twice.
